Lead Replacement Program

The Village of Burnham is pleased to announce a lead service line replacement project which will take place over the next year. This project will be wholly financed by the Public Water Supply Loan Program through the Illinois State Revolving Fund (SRF). The SRF program is administered by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency and receives a portion of its money to fund these types of projects from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.  SRF programs operate in each state to provide communities the resources necessary to build, maintain, and improve the infrastructure that protects one of our most valuable resources: water. The lead service line replacements will replace the oldest water pipes in the Village/City that connect from the water main in the street to the building plumbing. This project will provide assurance of quality water and eliminate issues like leaks, breaks, and obstructions .
